Initial Teen Treatment

Service Description

This is an opportunity for teens and their parents to explore Chinese medicine and discuss their health concerns and goals. Teens will be introduced to the treatment tools and the inner workings of their organs, bio-electrical system, and self-regulation mechanisms of their body in order to understand themselves and take care of themselves holistically. These treatments can involve kid pins (smaller needles), crystals, tuning forks, cupping massage, moxa, and acu-point ear seeds. Needles are typically not used until following treatments unless the teen chooses to have them. When used, only about 2-4 needles are inserted for about 5-10 minutes with the provider in the room (exceptions are made for older teens or those with acupuncture experience). Please come five minutes early to fill out brief paperwork and bring your teen's insurance card if applicable.
